Io Mathianaki
Io Mathianaki was born in 1990 in Athens. She grew up in Volos. She initially studied at the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts (2008–2013), and subsequently at the Department of Visual Arts, specializing in sculpture and painting (2014–2019). As part of her studies, she also attended courses in mosaic and ceramics. She has been involved in set and costume design, illustrated a children’s book, and taught freehand drawing and painting to both children and adults. Since 2014, she has participated in exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She is a member of the Hellenic Chamber of Fine Arts. Her works are held in private collections, as well as in the collections of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Athens School of Fine Arts. She lives and works in Athens.
